 28.10

 I woke up early in the morning prepared for the trip. I did my makeup, checked i have everything packed and at around 11:30 left for Helsinki. I arrived at the airport before  12 and said goodbye to my mom and brothers. 

I have never been to the airport before so it was definetly a very new and very exciting experience. We met up with the others and first went to get our suitcases checked and into the plane. After that we went trough the security check. This was a part i was really nervous for, but it ended up being very easy and not scary at all. The employees at the airport were very nice and explained things well. After we were done with the security check we had a talk about how everything works and then went off to explore the airport and find some food.

We boarded the plane at around 16:00. It was my first time walking into a plane and i could feel myself getting really nervous. The flight left at 16:30. I felt so scared as the plane started speeding up to lift up, but it was nowhere as bad as i was expecting. The flight went very smoothly and i felt more bored than afraid at some parts of the flight

We arrived in duesseldorf germany around at around 18:00. We get out of the plane to grab our suitcases and headed to the train station. We took a train from there to Köln. We arrived in Köln after 19:00 and met up with the teachers Nele and Antje. They took us on a train to our appartments. The train was so full you could barely move around and more people kept pushing in.

 Nele took us to me and Ada's appartment. We were warned before that the appartment might not be the best, but waiting for us was a really lovely couple who's really nice appartment we would be living at for the next 4 weeks. They told us everything about the appartment and showed us how everything works and where everything is. They left for their holiday and we stayed to shower and sleep after a long exhausting day.

29.10                                                                                                                                      

We woke up around 8:00 and our teacher as well as the other students came by our appartment at around 12pm. We then went together to the train station to go by us a train and bus ticket. Getting the ticket took a while, but in the end we got it. Nothing was open outside the train station, because it was a sunday. We bought some ramen noodles to eat in the evening and went to explore the city. We visited the catheridal and it was a beautiful site. We also just walked around trying to see what we can find and took a lot of photos. We came back to the appartment at around 19:00.

30.10                                                                                                                                                         

We woke up early on monday to go visit the goldenburg europakolleg. We took a train and a bus to get to the school. First we got a tour around the school and then we were taken to a classroom. We did a "speed dating" game where all of the finnish students went around to different tables with german students to get to know eachother. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and immediatey offered to take us places and show us around the city. The german students did a presentation about their city and school and we did a presentation about ours. We made plans to go shopping with a few german students. We left the school at around 1pm. We went our seperate ways with the other students and then at 16:00 met up with the other finnish students as well as a few german ones to go shopping together. We were out until around 19:00 again. After that me and the student i'm living with Ada went grocery shopping and got home a bit after 8pm. We went to sleep pretty much as soon as we got home.

31.10                                                                                                                                             

on tuesday we first walked to a cafe to meet up with all the finnish students, our teachers and the two german teachers Nele and Antje. We had coffee and an amazing breakfast at the cafe. After breakfast we left to visit an auction house where we got a guided tour around the house and were told everything they do there. We left to watch and auction happen, but the online server of the auction went down so we left after that. We got back at the cafe and had some coffee again and talked about the plans for the next month. After that me and Ada went off to go shopping. We found a lot of really nice vintage stores as well as pop culture and gaming stores. We got back to our appartment a bit before 20:00 and watched a horro movie to celebrate halloween.
